“Let me act with my soul; let my soul come in communion with the body. That is harmony.” B.K.S Iyengar.

Véronique Porter is French-American artist, Iyengar yoga teacher, philanthropist, and retreat organizer. She lives and works on two continents, splitting her time between her homes in Laguna Beach, California, and Vence, in the south of France.

Having studied art at Maryland University where she earned her MFA in 1997, her paintings are exhibited at the Looking Glass in Vence, in Laguna Beach at Ritual Art and Yoga and Lagunaart.com, and are found in numerous private collections worldwide. Aside from developing her own artistic expression, Véronique also works for interior designers and on commission. Her passion for painting and the sharing of the creative process led her to open the Looking Glass, a gallery/atelier in Vence, in 2007.

Véronique holds a certification in Iyengar Yoga.  The dedication to the practice of Yoga manifests in her founding the company SevaMandala where Art and Yoga unite, using the mandala as a vehicle to raise funds for different projects led by non-profit organizations.

The combination of her passion for painting and yoga naturally leads her now to design unique retreats located in specific locations around the world, chosen carefully for their unique energy to work in each chakra. The purpose of these retreats—as with her private art consultations—is to awaken the artist within.

Véronique is the mother of three children that have been raised in France and the US.  Passionate about sailing, she and her partner spent one year raising their young family at sea.  Currently writing a book, Soleil that recounts their adventure, with the aim to empower individuals to fully live their vision.
